Welcome to The Fabric Vase Company. A small creative textile company in Cambridgeshire. All products are handmade in Ely.

I'm Heather, and am often found in charity shops looking for pure wool jumpers or in the studio behind the sewing machine. I have a BA (Hons) degree in Fashion and Textiles and have worked in many different fields within Art and Design.

Following a move south,and more time to be creative again, Calico Tree Designs began. Whilst shopping in The Eel-Catcher's Daughter, a lovely new shop in Ely, a conversation with the owner Helen about the brooch I was wearing and I was back in business making brooches and vases for her - our first stockist!

Following success there, I approached other shops and galleries and built up quite a few within East Anglia.

I exhibited at the BCTF ( British Craft Trade Fair ) in Harrogate in April 2015 where I gained orders from new customers across the U.K.
The idea of fabric vases is proving successful and this has led to this website and renaming the business, The Fabric Vase Company....
